I have to use our basal series for reading, but I am really looking for a better way to incorporate self-selected reading and responding into our daily schedule.

I taught kindergarten for 3 years and now I'm moving to third grade! I'm very excited and want to use the daily 5 in my class. I've seen a little of it in action and see the difference it can make.
